Like the graphic and menu set ups.
Doesn't hold a good battery life charge even when not really being used.

I have had numerous problems with this phone including: Callers not being able to hear you, The GPS not working & The WLAN not working. Since I purchased the phone I have had to have it replaced 4 times over a 2 month period

Lots of features, easy to use as phone (most important). Lots of features, especially music player, GPS, synchronisation of organiser with PC, viewing photos. Small, light, easy to use - it's a phone with lots of features (I used to have a XDA Exec which is a great palmtop computer, which also includes a phone).
uses a lot of battery and does not charge via USB. Costs of data downloads are prohibitive and I always use a wireless network, never the GPRS/3G connection. Make sure that you download all the maps via the USB and PC. Make sure that you set the options to 'always ask' so that you don't get a big bill unexpectedly.

It is very customisable in that it uses the latest version of Symbion operating system meaning that near enough any mobile application can work on it-- including downloading podcasts which is very useful... the photo capabilities are of a very high order and the video is of a very high quality too; even when plugged into the TV with a scart lead...! It is a phone heavily laden with extensive features, very well recommended - you'll never go back to a lower res phone display again ! :)
As aforementioned, the phone is extensively laden with features and as such it takes a toll on the battery.. moreso if you take a lot of pictures and record a lot of clips (my N95 always needs to be plugged in after a night out).... but I'm more than happy with the balance.. This phone is probably the best phone out there now.

The Nokia N95 is a superb all singing and dancing product that looks good, takes great photos & videos, allows you to surf the web, possesses a very good sized colour display and has an easy to use (once mastered) keypad / menu allowing you to download and reply to your emails whilst out of the office. If you want a business phone that does all things very well - then this is a good option!
Perhaps the only disadvantage is the battery life which can get used up quite quickly if used a lot so make sure you always take a charger on your travels. However this isn't a true failing in the product rather it comes from using it frequently (as it does come packed with features) and so in that sense battery usage is inevitable.

Combines all essentials: cellular phone/voip phone, organiser, GPS, e-mail and multimedia. Great all-in-one package.
Battery life is dismal and undermines overall usability. really needs to improve to change the phone from gadget to a tool.

Nokia have produced what I would say is the ultimate phone.
It has no bad points.

Recently on holiday, I used my N95 as a SatNav to find my way around, browsed the web (in Spain! - no problem, real browser), listened to music as a personal MP3 player AND hooked it up to external speakers by the pool. Also forgot my camera a few times so took some 5MP pics and DVD quality video (which I played directly into my TV when I arrived home). Oh, and I made a few calls as well! I was a bit skeptical at all the hype, but this is really a magnificent piece of kit.
It does need to be charged up fairly regularly (heavy use, most days), but the charging is exceptionally quick and given all it does, this is only to be expected.

I think this phone is the best phone yet from Nokia! SO far I have had no bad experiences with the operating system that plagued some of the earlier N Series phones and I see no reason to why I should now. Browsing is great, camera and video superb, the GPS Map Application is great although I haven't really got my head round it, just played around with it. Limited inbuilt storage but with the Micro SD Memeory Card again its great. My honest opinion...highly recommended..!! Love it!!
MAybe battery life although its not too bad, if you remember to shut down everything you open. Maybe the fact that sometimes you can inadvertantly launch the multi media application if the phone isn't locked wehn the phone is in your pocket but, in all honesty very minor gripes hardly worth mentioning.

The contact detials and back up process is excellent.

Great Functionality - From excellent Web Browsing through to fast, smooth GPS navigation and full VOIP and VGA Video capture!
The battery can go quite quickly sometimes - often needs to be charged every 48hrs, apparently longer lasting batteries are now availble!

Good resolution camera Intuitive usage of functions Clock and alarms are designed nicely
Serious problems with the time it takes to capture a picture in low lighting. PC Suite software synchronising with Outlook is faulty to the point of being more trouble then it's worth. Sending texts is annoying because you can hit the red key instead if the "c" key very easily. This causes you to discard the whole message to Drafts instead of deleting a single character. Video recording chows battery life like crazy. The back panel falls out easily and then the battery falls out with it The earphones that come with the phone are crap and the cord is too short. GPS take ages to synchronise with satellites

The camera and video are excellent quality for a phone. The GPS is very good but a shame that you have to go online to use it. The music player is very good.
Battery life is not good. Also had some problems with the phone freezing.

The phone looks great and is very easy to use.
Both myself and my partner have the same phone and we have both experienced problems with the screen locking and not being able to use the phone without removing the battery first. Also occassionally when we close the slide part on the phone there is a thick white line across the screens. Occassionally during telephone conversations the person we are speaking to sounds as though their voice is vibrating and they are very hard to hear but this does not happen all of the time just now and then.

Design, functionality
Build quality suspect, had two both with same problem - intermittent speaker operation. Also the GPS doesn't really work - thinks you are driving in the fields next to the road.

HSDPA, photo quality
Frequent crashes, several bugs, A2DP Bluetooth often cuts out when listening to music wirelessly, can't maintain a data connection and a phone call at the same time, camera is slow, GPS is terrible, battery life is appalling.

Jim, London
It really does have everything. Having used an LG (terrible synchronisation software) and a Motorola (awful menus) it is a joy to be using such a well evolved package of hardware and software.
It really does have everything which can make it overwhelming in ways. What I really want is a decent digital camera with a phone built in, not the other way around. The battery life, especially when you're using the camera, listening to music or accessing the internet can be very brief. For such an expensive, well-specced piece of kit it feels flimsy and plasticy. A little metal wouldn't have gone amiss.

compact light weight, still getting to know the phone, lots of features.
short battery life, having to buy a licence to use the GPS although not expensive, I dont think you should have to pay extra for this service,on top of the monthly charges

The look feel and design is great and like all Nokia's it's very easy to use.
Battery Life. However, I have noticed that there is a significant difference between the mains charger supplied and other Nokia charges with the same size connecter. Battery Life is greatly enhanced by only useing the mains charger supplied.

it is a good looking compact phone with lots of features. The camera is excellent and it is easy to use, although the navigation can be a bit tricky to find other features.
As above the navigation a bit tricky at times, the bluetooth connection is a bit tempremental and the case that i was recommended although does the job, not perfect so could have come with a case like a lot of other manufacturers do, especially as perfect for the gym etc for music. The case i was sold not ideal for at the gym or whilst running.

This phone is the best purchase I have ever made, the camera is amazing, much better than other 5MP cameras on the market and the sound quality is better than my ipod. BATTERY LIFE IS GREAT!!!!!! Yes thats right the bettery life is the same as any other phone on the market, the reason why some people say it is bad is because they don't have the new software update that configures the phone to use less power, once i had installed it I noticed a massive difference. I can get upto 3-4 days out of it.
The slider becomes loose if your left handed like me.

I like the slide action and don't mind the size of the handset. The screen size is good.
I regret choosing this handset as it sometimes switches itself off, once when I was in the process of sending a text. It is cumbersome getting around the options, other mobile phones have been much easier to navigate through, and the battery needs charging every other day.

Genuinely multi-function: High qual. digital still/video. Easy interweb thingey. Radio. MP3. And GPS/SatNav... you can probably use it as a phone too.
Eats battery - especially if you 'use' the functions. Flimsey sliding cover disappoints

The N95 is great to look at and easy to use. Many features and the camera is one of the best. Another feature is viewing your photos.
Because it is gadget laden, the battery runs down very quickly

The N95 is the best piece of hardware released from Nokia to date IMHO, hard to find fault with it, design is modern, robust, stylish, light weight for the type of phone, true multimedia function, feel's solid and up to the job, operating system next best thing to windows mobile and sound quality is excellent.
Not many that I can find but I would like to see a version with Windows mobile as its operating system, keypad could be a little bigger.

The Nokia N95 looks good, is easy to use, has a fantastic camera that take great photo''s. The sound is great if using as a mp3 player. The phone is fantastic!
The battery life could be a bit better but it's not so bad you can live with it.

After reading other reviews I was concerned about the Sat Nav functionality, I was therefore surprised how good it was. It may take slightly longer to get a GPS lock (circa 30 seconds on average) but is still very usable as a get me from A to B device! General functionality has been quite intuitive and I would recommend this phone to anyone who likes their gadgets!
In call sound quality is perhaps slightly below par but not enough to be an issue. Battery life is shorter than some other handsets but given you could have bluetooth, wifi and GPS all running perhaps not too surprising!

Battery life , but you could max battery life by switching off GPS when you don't need it. when navigation is on if you get a telephone call you loose the navigation screen. I haven't tested fully - Nokia technical can say something about this.
