I previously had an old (non-electronic) washing machine and this LG has made putting the washing on a real novelty. The load capacity is great and the steam washes are simply superb - especially the Refresh function that lets me wash all my shirts for work in just 15 minutes. The machine is also very quiet indeed - even a full spin. I chose the LG machine for the features and the energy ratings - it is nice to know that you can do your washing while saving the planet too.

I love my new washing machine. It's so flexible. I can choose exactly what I want and I know how long it's going to take. It plays lovely little tunes to tell me what it's doing and the timer is very helpful in planning my own time around finish times. I love the look of it and the blue screen. I really can't fault it. And best of all it is energy and water-efficient with a huge drum that means I can cut down hugely on number of washes per week for my two parents and two boys family.

Sticks out a bit.

Huge Drum, not managed to fill it with the full 9kg yet! We can do our family washing in half of the washes that we were previously doing. Uses half the amountof washing powder of previous machine, but gives excellent wash results. Much quieter than any machine that we've had before - doesn't move around at all, very smooth and quiet motor. Really usefull child lock system keeps meddling hands at bay albeit the shiny knobs and buttons are a huge draw. Smart looking machine.

Only criticism is that it is quite deep and protrudes in front of the other units by an inch or so! I would say that it was quite dear too - but you do get what you pay for and I'm sure that we will recover the extra cost in reduced consumption and repair bills over the next couple of years!

It is very quiet, and unlike our last LG the clothes are weighed so you know if it is being overloaded.

It is very deep, the top maybe 600mm but it has a convex front and a back cover which sticks out so the true depth is closer to 700mm.

Very Quiet. Easy to use menu-driven programmes. Lots of different functions that can be mixed and matched. And most imporant of all *excellent* cleaning quality!

Expensive for a washer only. Very deep unit - it's likely to stick out from the front of an average Kitchen worktop. All the functions and the computerised interface won't appeal to techno-phobes!

this item is wonderful it can actually weigh your load for you and let you know how much you are washing at one time. I cant beleive how much washing i can get in 1 load - has taken my laundry down by at least half.

At thei moment in time i cannot fault this machine at all - sorry!

If you are a fan of star trek you will love the look of this machine. I went for the silver but both the white and black look great too. The wash cycles cover any and every type of wash you can think of and a few more besides. The steam refresh feature is like having your clothes dry cleaned, business suits and shirts can be steam cleaned very quickly and are ready to wear the same day without the need to iron ! Hard to believe I know but you'll be doing alot less ironing. The high 1400 spin speed means most clothes come out of the machine almost dry and need minimal drying time. The 9kg load and large drum size means you can even wash a king size duvet. Low noise levels when washing and spinning (as long as you set the machine on a solid base- see bad points).

The only down side I have found so far is that the machine requires a rock solid base to sit on. Otherwise as is the case with my kitchen (uneven floorboads) the vibration on the way to full spin speed is quite loud. I have improvised some rubber feet which has lowered noise and vibrations to a level I can put up with but I am working on other solutions to combine some floor work and larger rubber feet. Maybe LG need to include some rubber add on feet to help facilitate dampening for people with floors like mine ?

It is extremely quiet on all cycles and very easy to use. There is a great choice of cycles and I really like the steam cycle. The door opening is really large and I find the larger capacity - 9kg excellent, especially for towells and bedding. It is also quite attractive.

I only have two small bad points to mention. The first, that you are unable to spin cloths that you have handwashed - you have to rinse as well. The second, I have been used to a 50 degree wash and this jumps from 40 to 60 degrees.

Cycles are quite long unless you choose a delicate or quick wash option.

Super quiet. Super quiet and super fast spins. Very clean clothes!

Cotton washing cycle is near 2 hours regardless of load, unless fast cotton setting is chosen.

Quiet operation, and cannot be overloaded with its onboard technology.

The fact that I can choose how the various cycles run. The quietness of the machine. The display - time still to run, state of play etc.

The fact that it loses its place when turned off by my grandson, who likes the tune it plays when turned off and on!

Very easy to use, no noise at all, we can change the spin level, also we can add more rinse. Overall is very economic because we can change the temperature from cold to more tha 60 Degrees.

The machine does what it says it does, very please with it at the moment, the noise is not bad and the machines seems to cover most options for the various wash cycles.

Make a man want to do washing. Very Quite Economical If put a lot of cloth still has space for more. Over the years bought lot of machines for friends and relatives, this is by far best one

Very quiet in operation, washes well,so many other features I haven't used yet.

instruction manual could be better,giving info regarding recommenations for what setting for what wash etc.

The washing machine is so quiet that we can happily sit in the same room and wash the television/ eat and not be disturbed. Also good when we need to do some washing overnight.

Sleek and sexy design. On the begining I was checking all the time if washing machine is working when turned on as I couldn't hear any noise - it is that quiet. 9 kg of load - forget about laundry for a week and do it in one go.

Once you become familar with the programmes the machine is quite straightforward to use, and the quick cycle produces excellent results on stubborn marks. Overall, excellent wash results and an extremely quiet performance.

Low noise

no option to just spin, you have to rinse and spin.

It takes a large load, is clear and precise about times for the cycles, it's the second LG I have owned and although I didn't think they could improve them, they managed.

The instruction book (it's actually more like a leaflet) It doesn't explain much, it should tell you the machine itself gives you more information on how to work it.

This Washing machine is simply incredible!

On 1400rpm spin it is noisy because of the vibration in my laundry cupboard. May be ok on a hard floor

Amazing fatures and the quietest washing machine on a 1400 spin i have ever heard, we dont even have to close the kitchen door anymore to listen to the TV when there is a wash going on. it is so simple anyone can use it. expensive !! maybe but we think worth every penny.
